The whole market is free.
Narrowing it to your mandate is the paid part.

Capital Flow Weekly delivers the companies that newly moved in government funding and SEC Form D filings, across the whole market. Mandate Pilot narrows that to your theme, stage and geography — up to seven candidates a week, with the reason to look and the primary record.

Read the deliverable first

What Mandate Pilot sends every week, published in full.

A finished sample built for Climate / Energy Transition × Seed–Series A × United States. All seven companies are readable to the end, including which criteria we could not filter on and why each excluded company was dropped. Start with the free tier; consider the pilot only if you want to stop doing this filtering yourself every week.

Three steps to start

  1. 01

    Tell us your mandate

Theme, geography, stage, check size. We state up front which of these the data can actually filter on and which it cannot.

  2. 02

    Review the first candidates

Within two business days we send a sample matched to your criteria. Nothing is charged up to this point.

  3. 03

    Receive it weekly

Same format every week. In a week without enough qualifying candidates we say so rather than padding the count.

Questions

What is the difference between free and paid?
The free tier covers the whole market. The paid tier narrows it to your theme, geography and criteria — up to seven candidates a week, with why each was selected and what to verify next. The underlying data is the same; the filtering and the reasoning are what you pay for.
Which data sources do you use?
USAspending.gov transaction records (federal contracts and grants) and SEC EDGAR Form D filings. Every figure traces back to one of those two. Sources we have not ingested are listed separately on the methodology page.
Does a Form D mean a round has closed?
No. A Form D is a notice of an exempt offering, not proof that a round closed. The amount sold as of filing and the total offering are different numbers. Filers include funds and SPVs as well as operating companies, so we classify the entity type before putting anything in a candidate list.
Will there always be seven companies?
Up to seven. In a week without enough qualifying candidates we do not add weaker companies to fill the count. "Nothing matched" is itself information about the market, and we send it as such.
Do you make investment decisions for us?
No. We order the primary records so you can read them faster. There are no scores or recommendations. Every line links to its source so you can check it yourself.
Can the criteria change later?
Yes — we assume a monthly adjustment. Adding a theme, raising a minimum amount, or adding companies to a watchlist all take effect from the next issue.
How do I cancel?
It is month to month. Tell us before the next billing date and it ends there. Reports already sent remain yours.
What is the refund policy?
Card payment is not open yet, so there is no fixed refund policy to state. A pilot starts only after the criteria, price and first delivery date are confirmed in writing. If it turns out not to fit before that first delivery, nothing is charged.

Team use and data access

If you need team sharing, CSV or API access, internal research, or continuous monitoring of your own themes, get in touch. We design that after the value is proven on a single mandate.

The annual plans previously listed here ($9,000 / $18,000+) are withdrawn for now. Listing prices with no track record behind them does not help anyone decide. We will design them again once a pilot has been renewed.
